Sarah Abdouch is a lifetime Iowa native. Born in Adel, Sarah's family moved to Council Bluffs in the early 2000’s. She returned after college and put down roots in the area, marrying her husband Nick in 2017.
Homeschooled to graduation, Sarah attended IWCC for her first two years of college, transferring after that to Wheaton College, where she attained her Bachelor's in English and Literature. After graduation, she found a job in IT, where she works today in the cybersecurity sector.
Sarah's interest in politics began early. Concerned primarily about the national debt and the encroachment of regulatory agencies, she volunteered as State Director for the non-partisan group, the Convention of States Project in 2012. Since then, Sarah has also been an active member of the Republican Central Committee of Pottawattamie County and has volunteered her time with various candidates' campaigns.
Outside of politics, Sarah and Nick enjoy hunting, fishing, and walking Pepper, their Lab mix. Sarah also writes fiction in her spare time and leads a writing group in Omaha.
